AVL Strengthens Team and Client Experiences with Two New Roles

Head of People & Culture to Improve People Strategy; Head of Client Success to Improve Client Experience

With AVL’s continued growth, we’re excited to fill Head of People & Culture and Head of Client Success roles, which have become full-time critical positions. 

The Head of People & Culture position will refine our people strategy, including talent acquisition, coaching and feedback, team engagement, learning and development, and team performance and growth. 

Our Head of Client Success role focuses on improving our client experience, owning onboarding and engagement management, and strengthening our impact and success with clients. 

Meet the two new team members filling these positions and the dynamite experience they bring to the table: Carina Unger and Jeremy Malander.

Carina Unger Jeremy Malander

Head of People & Culture

Carina Unger is originally from Romania and immigrated to the US when she was nine years old. Carina is an east coaster at heart, hailing from New York, where she went to law school and passed the bar. She specialized in employment law and went the non-traditional route, having worked in HR and employment law consulting for the last ten years at Mindful Health, a fitness platform and wellbeing company, Trilogy Spa Holdings, a spa, and wellness consulting firm. Before this, Carina worked at Innovative Biotechnologies Laboratories and Blue Star Jets. She loves working in entrepreneurial startup environments and has substantial experience helping grow teams and companies.

I am a people-client, and, as an attorney, compliance-focused and appreciate the collaborative nature of the team and the ability to be innovative and work outside the means of a traditional people role.”

Head of Client Success

Jeremy Malander joins AVL with over 15 years of experience helping scale Customer Success programs at various fast-moving Silicon Valley tech companies such as Salesforce.com, Yammer (acquired by Microsoft), BlueJeans (acquired by Verizon), and PandaDoc. He has held leadership positions in rapidly growing companies and has developed and scaled other global business units such as revenue operations, business development, sales, marketing, professional services, and support. Jeremy joined these companies to focus on growth and delighting customers when the brands were not well known.
